Our 8th Annual Juneteenth Festival is coming Saturday, June 21st from 12pm - 4pm at the Chatham County Fairgrounds. Join us for another year of family fun, music, good food, art, and shopping!

CORE has supported local community members in organizing and leading this event. Each year, we have grown in size and outreach, with 2023 being our largest year yet! We welcomed over 3,000 people to the Chatham County Fairgrounds, and we plan to see even more this summer. Our Juneteenth is a multigenerational event guided by our desire to educate, inspire, and celebrate Black culture. Despite a decrease in public support and funding due to ongoing attacks on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, we remain steadfast in our commitment to this celebration. We firmly believe in abundance and the power of community to come together in joy, resilience, and resistance. Now more than ever, we reject harmful narratives that seek to divide us and instead choose to uplift and honor our shared history, culture, and liberation.
